Frequently Asked Remodel Questions

greater seattle area Remodel design

Do you do interior design for other rooms in the house, or just kitchen and bath?

Yes! We can help with laundry rooms, mudrooms, offices, built-ins, and overall whole home selections. We do however only focus on solid surface items like cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, hardware, interior paint and door selections, flooring, etc. We have companies we work with that we can recommend if you need further help with things like furniture and window treatments.

Do you have an idea of the cost of the actual work, or do I need to get a contractor bid?

While we typically have a general idea of what certain projects may cost, we always recommend getting a contractor bid (or multiple). The general contractor will always be able to give the most accurate estimate for the labor on your project.

Do you charge for your first meeting?

Yes, our initial consultation fee is $250. During this meeting we will measure your space and discuss everything you are looking for. From there we put together a detailed product proposal based on your needs, along with design fee proposal.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my initial consultation? How long will the first meeting last?

There’s no need to do anything before your initial consultation. However if you would like it can help to have some Pinterest or Houzz boards put together to give us an idea of your style and any specific elements you are interested in. The initial consultation is typically 60-90 minutes.

Do we need to use the contractors or architects you usually work with?

No! While we have lots of industry contacts, you are welcome to use your own contractor or architect. We do still like to have a conversation with them prior to starting the project to make sure we are all on the same page.

What cities do you work in?

Our service area varies depending on the project scope of work and what clients are looking for when working with us. We are based out of Renton, WA and typically service areas from Lakewood, Gig Harbor, Issaquah up to Everett and every area in between. We can also work virtually and travel to jobsite locations depending on the project.

How long will our project take?

This varies greatly! The design phase for an average project generally takes around 10 weeks from initial contact to complete design. Ordering product and completing the work ranges anywhere from a few weeks to a year depending on the scope of work.

Where can we see more of your work?

Can I see more samples of your work?
